About Me
I am passionate about demystifying therapy and making it an accessible process for adults interested in making changes in their life. I strive to be open and authentic with clients, but I also believe it is important to remain neutral and respect boundaries. I believe in the power of collaboration and play as a way of establishing a feeling of safety.
With any new client, I spend time exploring what helps them feel creative. No experience with art making is necessary in order to be successful in accessing creativity. Because my practice incorporates a mixed style of therapy, I draw from many evidence-based practices in order to support my client’s goals. In a session, I may include practices from the following types of therapy:

I come alongside my clients as they begin to address and change habits, thoughts, and cycles that once helped them get through challenging experiences. I want to get to know my clients and what they have experienced so that we can find ways to help.

While I do not provide services for children, if you are a parent or guardian interested in services for a child, please see my collaborator, Dorolyn Alper with Alaska Art Therapy and Counseling for information on her counseling practice for children and adults.

I have experienced the profound power of the loving-kindness meditation and this practice has inspired my own wellness and self-care practice. The name for my business, CLK Art Therapy ( or Cultivate Loving-Kindness and Art Therapy) centers me on the values of empathy, compassion, patience, and good-will. If you would like to learn more or practice the loving kindness meditation, I encourage you to try the Greater Good Science Center’s practice or Dr. Kristen Neff’s practice.
